About the Department

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

The department comprises Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Economics. It provides skills in areas of Entrepreneurship, Agri-business management, marketing, trade, Agricultural Development, policy, and Extension management, among others. The department specializes in education and research related to socio-economic aspects of agriculture and food.

Courses Offered

The Department of Social Sciences at COH, Bermiok is actively engaged in delivering all the courses related to Social Sciences as defined under the course curricula by the 5th Deans' Committee Report to confer the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree to horticulture graduates. The Department is headed by Dr. Mayanglambam Victoria Devi, Assistant Professor in Agricultural Extension, as I/C head.

In the Department, requisite facilities have been created for addressing the practical classes of the discipline.
